This ISN’T about protecting the public. Why? Because Trump isn’t going after bail itself. He’s going after CASHLESS bail – basically, if you have money and you’re dangerous, you can get out. But if you’re poor, you’re shit out of luck. Trump’s argument isn’t that bail itself – letting people accused of a crime out – shouldn’t happen; only that it shouldn’t happen FOR FREE. Once again, it’s all about punishing POOR PEOPLE for BEING POOR.
Haven’t you worked it out yet? If you are MAGA, you DON’T give a fuck about helping the people of this country. Trump cares about one thing: MONEY. His contempt for poor people is obvious. He fucks them over again and again, and no one in MAGA takes a minute to realize this. Their contempt for their fellow Americans is no less appalling than Trump’s. And many of them are working class!! You’re just screwing YOURSELF over and you don’t even know it!
And if you’re thinking, “Well, I’d never need bail because I’m a law-abiding citizen,” note that bail happens while AWAITING trial, i.e., before any guilt is actually established. You could be falsely accused of a crime by mistake, and purely on account of the fact that you can’t afford the bail, you’d have to sit in jail while awaiting trial, which can take quite a LONG TIME. And you could, despite all that time in jail, be found NOT GUILTY in the end. It’s all great until it happens to you. Meanwhile, a rich or even middle class person in your same position wouldn’t bat an eye and would be allowed to go about their life like nothing happened.
If you are MAGA, you are STUPID. You’re fucking yourself and countless other Americans over when you support a billionaire like Trump. He frames it as protecting you, but actually, it has a lot more to do with putting down the poor.
Cashless bail often operates via risk assessments, which are related not to money but to how dangerous a person is likely to be after their arrest. So, by insisting on cash bail rather than risk-assessment bail, Trump is actually making the streets MORE DANGEROUS. Who wins? The monetarily fortunate. Who loses? The poor. It plays into a stereotype of poor people being troublemakers and criminals, which is beyond wrong and doesn’t bear even the slightest scrutiny.
Again, cashless bail doesn’t mean anyone can just get out for free. They are assessed and weighed based on potential violent behavior, NOT just financial means.
Get your heads out of your asses and stop the denial and lies. Trump is the anti-working class president. All working class MAGA loons are seriously retarded, driven by childish psychology and not by objectivity or facts.

The highest it’s ever been according to Rasmussen Reports was 56%, not 57%, and that was all the way back in January. It sits at 49% currently. Take a look:
Trump loves to claim that people who take good stories about him and make them look bad should be prosecuted. But when his White House takes a bad story about him – his crappy approval rating – and makes it good, that’s totally okay, right?
Not that Rasmussen Reports isn’t totally skewed in Trump’s favor anyway, so if you check poll aggregators, it tends to be in the low 40s right now.
So, no, Trump does not have a 57% approval rating.
