Trump posted this image on Truth Social claiming that the Democratic Party’s only message is to hate him. Now, coming from someone who has been slamming the Left as communist and Marxist for years, that’s quite a U-turn, is it not? Do they have a (Marxist) message or don’t they?

“HATE, EVIL, AND SATAN” is also pretty rich. Trump, of course, has never read the Bible (though he laughably claimed it was his favorite book), but here’s what St Paul has to say:

For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

1 Timothy 6:10

It doesn’t take a genius to see that Trump LOVES money. The whole of his presidency is predicated on funneling money up from the taxpayers and into his business empire. He lied endlessly to get into the White House.

Lying lips are abomination to the Lord: but they that deal truly are his delight.

Proverbs 12:22

Satan is often described as the father of lies, of course. He was the first liar, the one who lied to Adam and Eve in order to lead them to damnation.

So, if we were to choose one person on earth right now who represents both the love of money and lying, would it even be hard to figure out whom? Trump is a thief, plain and simple.

There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers.

Proverbs 6:16-19

Haughty eyes, huh? It’s rather easy to think of someone who meets this description. Someone who always looks down on others. Someone who has an ego the size of a planet. Someone who never accepts fault or says sorry. Someone who brags and boasts. Sound familiar?

If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

1 John 1:8

Of course, Trump’s never actually said he has no sin, but we’ve seen the way he talks, right?

Everyone who is arrogant in heart is an abomination to the Lord; be assured, he will not go unpunished.

Proverbs 16:5

Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. It is better to be of a lowly spirit with the poor than to divide the spoil with the proud.

Proverbs 16:18-19

MAGA are those who “divide the spoil” with Trump (not real spoils of course, but political spoils). He is proud beyond measure and arrogant beyond imagining, and he is utterly full of himself. His own vanity is a bottomless abyss that can never be satisfied.

I will punish the world for its evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; I will put an end to the pomp of the arrogant, and lay low the pompous pride of the ruthless.

Isaiah 13:11

The Christian God does not care for the prideful – the Bible makes it clear. In fact, he pledges to bring them down.

So, the Satanic one is not the Left. It’s not the Democrats. It is Donald Trump and the MAGA crowd, who are in a constant state of worship of Trump.

No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Matthew 6:24

And you cannot serve God and Trump. Trump is the earthly embodiment of Mammon, always obsessing over gold, gold, and more gold. Look at the tacky displays in the Oval Office, for example. How about the ballroom this guy is building for himself in the White House? You cannot look at that and claim this is a man who doesn’t care about money and wealth.

To be a Christian and support Trump is to totally misapprehend both. Only an absolute FOOL would take such a position.

Compare Trump to, say, St Francis of Assisi, who gave away all his wealth to live in poverty, despite being mocked by his rich “friends”, because he felt he had a spiritual duty to serve others rather than himself. Is there even one quality the two have in common??? They’re total opposites, and you can tell who’s the real Christian and who isn’t. St Francis is someone you can take seriously. His stated ideals matched his actions. He acted on what he claimed to believe. Trump, on the other hand, constantly posturing and claiming he cares about the working class while raking in billions of dollars and promoting total scams and crypto rug-pulls, is about the least honest person on earth.

That’s the real contrast, MAGA. So, how can you worship a man like that while claiming to be Christian? MAGA Christians should think real carefully about who they’d rather side with, because you cannot serve both God and Mammon.
